Bandshell Rental Use

Bandshell and full park/venue rentals are extremely limited. The district will restrict rentals from promoters, outside concerts and performances, and any non-park district affiliated public events that will require marketing for the purpose of ticket sales or fundraising (private or non-profit).

Please note: these types of rentals are extremely limited June-September due to already scheduled programming. The district is required to adhere to a maximum number of amplified sound events within a calendar year.

Social & Corporate Events

Memorial Park is a beautiful, manicured 2.5-acre park that is still home to the historical landmark, Judge Elbert Gary’s estate coach house built in 1888. Now the Mary Lubko Center, the building offers a casual, comfortable space with classic wood-paneled walls, a large stone fireplace, and beautiful views of Memorial Park. The building and park are ADA accessible.

With multiple event spaces, Memorial Park offers something for all types of events, both indoor and outdoor. The Mary Lubko Center building features a rustic room (VIP) and sunroom (Coach). The Lions Terrace off the building can be rented in addition to the building to provide your guests a great outdoor cocktail area, a place to step out to enjoy the fresh air, dine or meet overlooking the park.

Memorial Park makes a unique and intimate location for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or small reception. This urban park setting is just a block north of downtown Wheaton. Its large trees, historical building, and recently built Lions Terrace is the perfect backdrop for friends and family to enjoy the beautiful park setting while maintaining the convenience of a West Suburban location with easy access to the Metra.

Hosting your wedding off-site and looking for an outdoor ceremony location? Memorial Park offers the perfect multi-use event space with crushed granite-based (no heels digging into grass), access to the Mary Lubko Center building for indoor restrooms for the comfort of your guests, and a backup rain location for seating up to 40 (60 standing room).
